I want a lateral entry in B.Tech ME or automobile but am confuse about LEET, what should I do?

I've done a Diploma in tool & die making from an AICTE approved institute and want to ask that in LEET exam, there are 2 papers: I)General ii)professional. If I am a Diplomat, for which paper do I have to appear: either general or professional because in professional the questions are quite tough!

LEET is the entrance exam for candidates who wish to get lateral entry admission in an engineering college. Now, I can't say if you can give LEET exam or not, because you have not mentioned any information about your course. Lateral Entry Scheme is basically for the candidates who have completed either Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. through this scheme. Diploma and B.Sc candidates can get direct admission in the 2nd year of engineering. What kind of stream you can apply for in engineering depends on the subject in which you have completed B.Sc or Diploma. This scheme was started to give Diploma and B.Sc students a better career option
