I want to do Ph.D from MDS University & want to go for a research in chemistry because of my interest in it. What are its benefits?

I completed my M.Sc from MDS University and want to do a research in chemistry. Also, I've got 82% in M.Sc being the topper of my class. I have an interest in organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry.
