I want to do software engineering. Which faculty do I choose: IT or computer science? And what's the difference between B.Tech and B.E.?

IT is related to making software and being a developer completely, while computer science includes the study of both hardware and software. Computer science has had the highest cut-off compared to IT in most of the colleges in recent years. If you're only interested in software development, I suggest that you pursue IT engineering.
