I want to drop my engineering and pursue my studies in arts or music. What should I do?d

I'm pursuing engineering and in my 2nd semester. I got 96% in state board 12th exam and 9.6 in 10th, CBSE. My parents decided that I can succeed in engineering because of my academic results. But I found my interests being ignored in their decision.

you will succeed in your career when you do what what your inner thoughts tells you to do. you might have failed to convince your parents. Now you have to and switch over immediately. you need not waste your time in which you are not interested. I have seen people like you are more successful in their life .

don't drop. first realise, is arts or music is something you are passionate about? Remember, both arts and music are very niche, professional field with lot of competition and one really need to struggle for years to get the fame
I advise you to continue with your engineering and also pursue B. Music or BFA through distance mode. Annamalai University and University of Madras offer this course

First, look at the reason, why do you want to drop your engineering study, if it's all about the matter of your interest then you must quit it.
You want to apply as fresh for graduation, again, it's a matter of your interest.

You must complete your B.Tech first. After that, go ahead as per your wish.

Listen to your heart but make sure you excel in arts or music. First, you need to decide whether you want arts or music. Don't force engineering upon yourself.

    Hi,
If you have just started with the engineering then switching course would be the best option, otherwise I will suggest you to complete your degree and start learning the things that interests you as part time. Whatever you will learn in your degree will always help you in your future.

You can join part time arts / fine arts / music etc. courses apart from your regular engineering study.
