Dear Umer, LPU does not require AICTE as it is university and UGC-approved. If a university is UGC approved then it is not required to have AICTE approval. Moreover, AICTE is only for colleges mostly. You can join LPU without any confusion. LPU offers specializations in Civil Engineering are: Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geo-tech Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, Hydraulics and Water Resource Engineering, Remote Sensing & GIS. Highlights of the programme (Civil Engineering):Imparting knowledge through site visits, case studies, real-time designs of structures. Well-eq

LPU is the best University to join as it focuses on the overall growth of the students. Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements etc. As per my knowledge, Lovely Professional University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. Dear Umer, Even I had the same doubt when I was searching for college to pursue my M.Tech. First of all I would like to clarify that AICTE approval is mandatory for colleges. The regulating body for universities is University Grants Commission (UGC) which LPU already has an accreditation. As per the latest NIRF rankings released by MHRD LPU is:
    1. Among top 80 Universities in India
    2. Among top 90 engineering colleges in India
    3. Among top 50 business management schools in India
    4. Among top 30 Indian pharmacy colleges
The university itself has the following accreditation:
    1. UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION (UGC)
    2. Association Of Indian Univers

LPU doesn't require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. The highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: -
    1. Most of the faculty staff is from reputed organizations with their the highest degree from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, etc. Apart from that, faculty have got previous industrial experience also.
    2. The capstone project is an integral part of B.Tech programme in which students have to pick a live project based on practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. This is benef

Being an alumni of LPU, I would like to bring into your notice that LPU does not require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as it has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. Hey, so for LPU's end-term exam in Physical Education, you need at least 30% marks in the end-term itself, plus an overall 40% combining continuous assessment and end-term. That's the standard across their PE programs, and they've got a cool holistic review if you hit the aggregate but miss the end-term bit—super fair way to keep things student-friendly. Attendance stays key at 75% min, which makes sense for staying active in sports stuff. LPU really nails this balance, helping folks like us push through without harsh cutoffs, way better for building real fitness skills. No wonder it's a top pick—keeps motivation high and stress lo

Hey guys, so I checked the official LPU site for the BPEd course fee, and for the first year, it's around INR1 Lacs to INR1.09 lakhs, covering tuition at INR50,000 per semester plus exam fees of about INR4,500-INR5,000 each. That's super reasonable for a top-notch programme with awesome sports facilities and scholarships up to 60% if you score well in LPUNEST—like INR96,000 off per semester for high performers. LPU really makes it accessible without compromising quality, way better value than many places I've seen. Total for two years is INR2-2.18 lakhs, but first-year payment is straightforward via UPI or whatever. If you're into ph

Hey, so from what I've checked on LPU's official site, the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for sports programs like B.P.Ed is totally offline. It's this practical fitness check with stuff like a 50m sprint, standing broad jump, medicine ball throw (3kg for guys, 2kg for girls), and a 1000m run/walk—all done on campus with invigilators watching to keep it fair.
No online version here since it's hands-on physical activities, and you gotta bring your own sports kit or they won't let you in. LPU runs it in multiple schedules based on registrations, super flexible for everyone. Honestly, it's cool how they make it real-world ready witho

Hey, so the LPU Physical Efficiency Test (PET) isn't some super long drag—it's more like a quick fitness check that usually wraps up in 20 to 45 minutes, depending on how fit you are. You've got to nail a 50m sprint, standing broad jump, overhead medicine ball throw (3kg for guys, 2kg for gals), and a 1000m run/walk, all in one go with up to two tries. No fixed "hours" timer since it's practical stuff, not a marathon sit-down exam.LPU keeps it real and fair, testing real stamina for sports courses like B.P.Ed—super helpful to see if you're ready without wasting your day. Bring your own kit or you're out, but slots are flexible
