I want to know my chances of getting in to an IIM. I am studying B.Com (Hons) and also completed intermediate course in CA.

I scored 95% in 10th, 92% in 12th , 8.8 cgpa in graduation, but the issue is i have had the 2 year gap because i was pursuing CA and then i dropped out and joined bcom hons. So will that 2 year gap makes any problem in getting an admission in to iim? Please reply to my query as i can prepare for CAT

You need to clear your B.Com with over 50% marks, write CAT get more than 98percentile and then face the GD and interviews if you are called. Intermediate course in CA may play a little part in your Interview, though its not compulsory. There is MBA beyond IIMS too, some top universities like SPJMER, SIBM, ISB, Greatlakes and LPU have taken it to another level altogether, you must check out their websites. Hope this helps

Well, I believe you can proceed with CAT as in the gap would not be a much problem for your further studies. But you have to qualify you Bachelors degree first. Till now you are having a really good percentages and I hope you will be achieving good in your Bachelors also. Apart from IIM there are various other universities, I am known to Lovely professional university which is having a good NIRF ranking and also good among the placements.

    Hello!
You can definitely look further with IIM and this GAP will not be any issue for you. You should have valid justification for your GAP year, incase it is discussed in interview. But before that you should make sure you qualify CAT. Also, I would advise you not to just stick towards one option, explore more and have a look over other options as well that offer great MBA courses. Few of the renowned options are SIBM, ISB, Great Lakes and LPU, SPJMER. I have done my MBA from LPU. Being an LPU Alumni, I can say that LPU has experienced faculty members, well-equipped labs, great infrastructure, excellent placements, complete training
