I want to know that what is the difference between 'Electrical engineering(EE)' and 'Electrical & Electronics engineering(EN)' ?

I want to know that what is the difference between 'Electrical engineering(EE)' and 'Electrical & Electronics engineering(EN)' ? And which branch should i choose for placements,GATE preparation and govt. jobs? And can i appear in these exams taking 'EE' as my subject? plz rply,I'm vry confued.

    Electrical engg and electronics enng both are core branch of engg. But due to new application and gadgets both enng combined and a new engg field emerge called electrical and electronics engg. all are good. you can seat for GATE in both opting EEE.
