I want to pursue MBA from LPU. If I did not appear for any entrance exam like CAT, MAT or XAT then can I get admission?

As an alumni of LPU, I would like to guide you on this as I have also gone through the same process. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, first of all decide the programme that you want to join and check its Eligibility criteria for Admission. Eligibility Criteria for MBA is to Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST or CAT or MAT or XAT or NMAT or CMAT and Interview or Completed Company Secretary CS from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Completed Chartered Accountancy CA from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or Completed Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). So, as per eligibility you have the option to qualify LPU NEST. LPU conducts LPU NEST as an entrance test for all the programmes. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. For most of the programmes, it serves both the purposes. As per the official website of LPU, the Schedule for LPU NEST has been started for all the programmes for this current session I. e 2021. Also, there is no negative marking in this exam so chances of scoring well are more in this. In order to apply for the Exam, you can refer the following steps : 1 Register yourself on the portal 2. Fill the details 3. Choose the programme 4. Apply for LPUNEST 5. Make the payment for LPU NEST and Book the slot for the Exam I. e date and time for the exam as per your availability. 6. Appear and Qualify the LPU NEST and wait for Result 7. Participate in the Interview process 8. After the result of Interview, proceed for Admissions. Although entrance exam like CAT MAT or XAT are important from the admissions point of view in the business school. But to my experience, college is a challenge for all of us. Let me share with you interview competencies that are tested as part of MBA interviews in LPU. The various parameters includes Fluency, Grammatical errors, elaboaration of concept, Clarity in thought process, Confidence, General Awareness and leadership quality. In LPU when you sit for an MBA interview there are 2 panelists one from the core domain and the other from soft skills to assess you on speaking skills. Both the panelists will be rating you on the competency and a score will be generated. On the basis of the cut off score only you will considered as qualified or not.
