Pursuing BCA+MCA from a good college or even pursuing BCA from a good college is far better than doing B.Tech+M.Tech (CSE) from an average college. It improves career prospects.

Ph.D after B.Tech+M.Tech is much better than MCA. Ph.D in Engineering is much better than Ph.D after computer application.

A general trend is to prefer an engineering stream but in an AICTE approved, preferably accredited institute affiliated to a reputed university or an institute of national importance. Again it depends on where you wish to see yourself after the completion of the programme. May be you prefer to see yourself as a system analyst or a programming expert, MCA is not bad at all. It is possible to do a Ph.D after the completion of your Masters degree and the clearance of NET or equivalent.

Dear hariddhi, as per my opinion and my experience you can do Ph.D. after any of these two combinations but in case of selection for these two I think you must go for BCA + MCA then PST that will help you to become a lecturer of computers it Java and old information technology related subjects and you can also go in the DP search of any particular language or any particular script of you can also go for the photo of new programs any application web pages and thank.

Dear friend, If you want to pursue Ph.D after completing your graduation, post graduation then you can choose any of the two combinations that you have mentioned that is either you can go for BCA, you can also go for B.Tech + M.Tech. You only need to have a Master's degree, it doesn't matter from which course, which subjects you are. Thank you very much.

The second one is better and takes more time than MCA+BCA combination. Spending more time means more acceptance. It is a suggestion that a B.Tech and M.Tech will also bring safety to career even before Ph.D. You can get into teaching just after M.Tech.
