I wanted to know the complete details about information science course(B.Tech). is it related with maths? please help me out.

I've got 86.6% in PCM. my cet rank is 15,000. i'm a bit weak in computer programming. Will they teach from the basics of computer?

    Aishwarya, If you are confused about careers after graduation, there are a few ways to approach this. I am not sure how good you are with maths and programming. If you are, then you must pick up Programming and take a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like i mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with MCAs and BTech(CS) applicants.     Hello as i m in 4th year pursuing my mechanical engineering mostly for first 2 years basic math is required for any branch and seeing u r percentage seems that your basics are well cleared if you practice well it would be not much difficult in case of math and some or the other way math is used in 4years of engineering study.
    and as i hear from my friends its not compulsory that you should know basics of programming in most of institutes they teach basics and if not so you can clear your doubts personally with professors and also you can use internet.

    Your rank is not supporting you so much. Best for you would be to check some good colleges and take admission the basis of your 12th score. Check for the academic benefits you can get in the form of scholarships, faculty, exposure, platform etc. Of course good colleges always provide extra workshops and training sessions for added knowledge. Log in to some good college sites to check the cut off and academic details: RV, LPU, PES etc
