    To become a medical professor, one must first complete a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as biochemistry, biology, human physiology, nursing, biomedical engineering, etc. This bachelor's degree is the foundation for higher education and medical knowledge. For faculty positions in the academic thesis series, the M.D. Generally required, as well as significant postgraduate training and clinical experience.
