im b-tech first year student.In my college branches are given in second year.Im interested in civil,material science and chemical engg.I don't want to do higher studies after b-tech.So Help me which is suitable for me and which has more job opportunities among three.

Opting for Civil engineering would bring better and wide career opportunities and it is the core discipline in engineering offering a lot of depth to the the education that one shall receive.

As for not pursuing higher education is concerned, this would entirely depend on your interest but then I would never advise you to restrict your education up to bachelors as the career options are always lesser for a graduate and the growth options too is very low.

If you do not want to study beyond B.Tech then Civil engineering would be the better option for you because you can immediately start a field career with it even if you are not absorbed by an industrial house soon after you complete your B.Tech. With the other branches that you have mentioned, you would need higher education (M.Tech or MBA )these days for a better career (and higher starting salary). As a Civil Engineer you can assist any private construction agency also by the time you get a bigger opportunity.
