Civil engineering has a better scope than CSE. Civil engineering has a better scope than CSE. Hi, Both departments are best in their places. Actually, in what field you are talking about is important to categorize them as best or not. There are plenty of jobs you can get with a mechanical engineering degree that does not involve CAD. Mechanical engineering can open doors in management, consulting, even finance, etc. With a civil engineering degree, it is harder to get into one of these related fields (or to change fields later on). Hi, If you are interested in money then you can join CS branch. CS branch is very good because in CS engineering, salary is too good except another branch. And I believe that money comes first. And most important thing is that 95% girls want their partner to be a CS engineer. I am not joking. It's an amazing fact.

Sumit, these days emphasis is on CSE, but Civil is also a good option. It also depends upon your choice. If you are somebody who wants to sit in an AC office then ofcourse CSE is for you but if you are somebody who doesn't mind working in the field then Civil is very good option. These days Civil students are also getting equally good offers like CSE students.
