I believe it is one of the highly paid jobs, so one can overrate it also.
Duty hours and flight schedule are usually very different than other 9 to 5 jobs.
But this is the beauty of this job. Since it requires a lot of physical and mental stability, one gives more attention towards their fitness,

The answer depends on from what angle one views the job. Compared with normal 9-5 job this of course is entirely different. Hours are long and definitely not fixed.
