    No, the university is open to all irrespective of caste, creed, religion or gender. All one has to do is fulfill the eligibility criteria and secure a seat in this university. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are the AMU Entrance Exam,  CUET, and others. Aligarh Muslim University do follow a reservation policy which can be checked from the official website.     Yes, a Hindu can study in Aligarh Muslim University (AMU Aligarh). The term "Muslim" appears in the university's name, although it has nothing to do with the number of seats or quotas. Despite the fact that some seats are also set aside for foreigners or the children of NRIs.
