The faculty at LPU works hard tirelessly in enabling students with the acumen to apply the findings of Biosciences in the fields of medicine, forensics, nutrition and dietetics for the benefit of the community. Few of the major highlights are : 1. LPU school of biotechnology provides an ultimate learning experience with a commitment to innovation. With well learnt and experienced faculty members. The focus of the curriculum is designed in such a way that students get extensive amount of exposure and development. The curriculum has been designed in such a way that it makes it easier for the students to prepare themselves for giant exams like CSIR NET ICMR, ICAR, and GATE. With experienced faculty members in the department who are ever ready to help their students round the clock, for meeting innovative ideas and project works. Such dedications only brings international accolades. Learners are trained to extract information from the best published articles and thus create their own hypotheses on real-world scientific issues. There is Hands on training on Step One TM Real Time PCR, 48 Well Block machine to gain insight on the critical steps of gene expression studies. Patents are granted for inventions, there are lectures from experts. Workshop was conducted in LPU in collaboration with University of Victoria, Canada, on improving quality of wash water from car wash sites under IC-IMPACTS funded project entitled Contaminated land reclamation using hybrid absorbable landscape and native plant species with real-time monitoring to improve public health in Punjab.
