Is CA possible for a student belonging to SCIENCE stream!?
I've completed my 12th std in science stream with (bio, phy, chem, maths) and scored 89%, but now I wish to choose CA
Am I eligible for CA !? and B.com as well?
IF yes. should I pursue CA in an individual institute? or is it better to go with BCOM then CA?! or BCOM with CA?
Hi Akshaya, first of all there is no problem for a science student to pursue CA. You can do it. To start your CA academic life you have to face CPT which is the preliminary step of CA. It consists of the following 4 papers FUNDAMENTALS OF ACCOUNTING MERCANTILE LAW GENERAL ECONOMICS QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE- which comprise of Maths and Statistics You can pursue BCom along with CA. But I think you should give importance to CA. That is you should pursue BCom through distance. So that it is easy for you to manage both. The ultimate decision is yours. Hope this helped you

Hi Akshaya, Yes you can but make sure that you'll be able to cope up with the Accounting concepts and also be comfortable with Banking and Finance modules. Take admission into B.COM and simultaneously register yourself with I.C.A.I Board for CA. There is a restriction on regular course along with CA. You can do CA with any regular course, but at the time of 3 years training, you cannot pursue any regular course. But you can pursue any course in which you do not have to attend any classes during your 3 years training. Hope it helps. Please feel free to revert. Click on the thumbs up or mark it as the best, if you found this useful. Wish Y
