No, the Common Admission Test (CAT) is not compulsory for admission to the MBA programme at Lovely Professional University (LPU). LPU accepts multiple entrance exams for MBA admissions, including:

    • LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test)
    • MAT (Management Aptitude Test)
    • XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test)
    • CMAT (Common Management Admission Test)
    • CAT (Common Admission Test)

You can choose to take any of these exams for admission, with LPUNEST often being the preferred option for LPU students. Additionally, LPU also offers scholarships based on exam performance.

CAT is not mandatory for MBA admission at LPU, but students who have qualified the CAT exam can be exempted from taking the LPUNEST exam. Based on the scores of CAT, MAT, XAT, or LPUNEST, students are eligible for scholarships, with different phases offering varying scholarship amounts.

To apply, students must upload their CAT result card on the student dashboard (where the online admission form is filled). After that, they can book an appointment for an interview. Additionally, students need to upload a recorded video essay, where they must explain why they want to pursue an MBA and share their goals for the program, while dressed in f

CAT is one of the accepting exams for LPU admission. LPU conducts LPUNEST Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to MBA course. It is conducted in online mode every year. The test acts as an Entrance Test as well as Scholarship Test. The amount of scholarship is determined by the marks and rank obtained by candidates in the exam. LPUNEST is a 2.5 hours exam including 125 questions. Apart from LPUNEST, the university also accepts MAT, XAT and other Management entrance exam scores for admission. The shortlisted candidates are further called for GDPI round.

No, the Common Admission Test (CAT) is not compulsory for admission to the MBA programme at Lovely Professional University (LPU). LPU offers multiple pathways for admission. Candidates can qualify through various entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, or LPU's own entrance test, LPUNEST. LPU’s flexibility in accepting multiple entrance exams provides candidates with various options to qualify for the MBA program. Therefore, while CAT is one of the accepted entrance exams, it is not mandatory for MBA admission at LPU. For detailed information, you can refer to LPU's official MBA programme page.

No, CAT is not compulsory for MBA in LPU. While it is one of the accepted entrance exams, you can also apply with scores from LPUNEST, MAT, XAT, CMAT, or NMAT with video essay and interview. Additionally, if you have completed a professional qualification like CA, CS, or CMA, you can also apply without taking any entrance exam with video essay and interview.
