Hi, Yes indeed Civil Engineering is marvelous as one of my friends shared the highlights which I am about to share. In Civil Engineering emphasis is on the evolution of manmade infrastructure as they understand that how they have evolved to the present scenario. With advancement of technology in leaps and bounds the future of civil engineering in the years to come will be crucial, especially with the establishment of smart cities. My Friend in this domain at LPU was telling me that Students are exposed to different practical oriented fun games and learning activities such as competitions, quizzes, workshops, live projects, etc. Which create an opportunity for students to engage and hone up their analysis, design and drawing skillswhich is required at industry. Intellectual Industry officials regularly visit school for guiding faculty members and students itself. Workshops are being arranged for enhancing student knowledge. : Experienced faculty members of the discipline nominated as mentors to eligible students which resulted in students satisfaction and improved placements. School of Civil Engineering, Lovely Professional University, has signed MOU with NHAI for giving paid internship opportunity to our existing B.Tech and M.Tech Civil Engineering students. The school in co-ordination with Division of Career Services has moved from strength to strength and has placed many students in national and international organizations like Al-Rakha, Simplex, Cognizant etc.

Hello, Since the beginning of the creation, when someone placed a roof over his head or laid a tree trunk across a river to cross it, Civil Engineering existed. LPU has its student organisation known as "bridge, " which conducts various events and competitions to bring forth creativity and to award the best engineer in the making. The consortium of former LPU alumni and an active group of engineering professionals with a sound civil background share their experience on various technologies, industries, methodologies, and processes adapted by many MNC. Moreover, Intellectual Industry officials regularly visit the school to guide faculty members and students themselves. Workshops are being arranged for enhancing student knowledge. School of Civil Engineering, Lovely Professional University, has signed MOU with NHAI for giving paid internship opportunities to our existing Civil Engineering students. Learning by Doing, in which fresher students of the school of civil engineering prepared the building models under the guidance of faculty. The placements are excellent. The students of the School of Civil Engineering are placed in national and international organizations like Al-Rakha, Simplex, Cognizant Soma enterprises, L&T, Gammon, Zamil Infra, Unisys, Tech Mahindra, Xceedance, etc. Thanks.

Apart from IIT, top colleges for civil engineering are National Institute of Technology, R. V. College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, College of Engineering Pune, UPES Dehradun, Lovely Professional University etc. Lovely Professional University is one of the best institutes for engineering in the state of Punjab. So if a degree in B.Tech (Civil engineering) is what you seek, I suggest that you do consider LPU. I have sound reasons to actually make this suggestion. One of the oldest and the broadest engineering disciplines, Civil Engineering involves planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and supervising infrastructures which include facilities essential to modern life like highways, bridges and tunnels, schools, hospitals, airports and other buildings, sewage systems and water treatment facilities. Subsequently, the course also involves protecting the public and environmental health as well as improving existing infrastructure. An Engineering programme which articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology through lab practice and projects to gain knowledge in areas like Structural, Environmental & Highway Engineering, Construction Management etc. Which are in sync with industry requirements. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) HIGHLIGHTS Credit Transfer Student after successful completion of 2 years.
