Is game design in LPU good? What is the qualification for the course?

    There are many courses of animation and gaming in india and few places are doing really great. I have done my Masters from lovely professional university LPU provides 6 Degrees in Bachelors in field of multimedia, Animation and gaming. B.Sc. ( Multimedia) 3 years. Sc. ( Gaming) 3 years. Sc. ( Graphics) 3 years. Design ( Multimedia) 4 years. Design ( Gaming) 4 years. Design ( Graphics)4 yearsand two course in Masters. Design ( Multimedia). M.Sc. (Multimedia).     You will be doing B.Sc in game design. Programme fee is INR. 90,000.
    Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam):
    Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent, subject to valid score in LPU-NEST or UCEED. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.     HI Anurag, You have chosen a right career. If you really wish to become a video game developer and a big name in the same gaming production forte. Then you can proceed with 4 years degree programme. At various Universities it is called with a different programme name. # But be careful, Few Colleges offers Multimedia and Animation. They will try to make you fool by depicting this degree as Gaming degree. Actually there will be Subject in which their curriculum will do nothing with Gaming Degree.     There is a minor course in B.Tech computer Science and engineering, which used to teach you game design. So, there is no a particular course for game designing in LPU, if you want to pursue your future in that field. So, you can go for some good online courses and sharp your skills, else you can go for B.Tech and opt for minor.

    It is not much good at LPU because there aren't many companies that visit LPU to hire students specialised in this field. You need to have passed 12th boards with a minimum aggregate percentage of 60%.

    There is a separate School of Design for the Programmes of Multimedia and Design. This Department has well-equipped labs with high-end workstations and it has gaming studios also where students can play and test the games on play station, PC, and x box platform. The faculty is highly qualified. Various companies visit LPU for the recruitment like Kony India, Amazon ( as 3d Artist), Rockstar Games, Xentrix studio, Dq entertainment, Prime focus, Green gold animation, etc. The eligibility criteria to apply for this programme is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (With English) or equivalent.
