Yes it indeed is good to join but only if you can clear IMUCET-the entrance test for admission to IMU. IMU is the central government university and if you are interested in merchant navy then you should hit to one of the campuses of IMU. Be very clear of what stream you want to choose (B.Sc, B.Tech, DNS, etc.it is costly B.E. / B.Tech (12 courses) 3 L - 18.6 L . The placement rate recorded in IMU Kochi placement drive 2021 was 22% which was much lower than the last year's placement rate which was 52% in 2020.
