If yes, then why are overall placements for government engineering better than that of private engineering colleges?

Infrastructure is like a good package to attract more people. But if the thing inside the package is not good enough then after a few times people will understand its worth. Large campus, better facilities is not necessary for everyone. It is just a way to attract people and earn money from them. Better faculty, placements and pass out students are the real advertisements for a college.

The infrastructure is one of the main aspect for private colleges to show there worth.
Larger campus area and more facilities always leads to attract people but it is not always what affects your placement.
Placement of the university always depends upon the quality they provide to the students during there duration of course.
Government colleges (here in reference to. top NITs and IITs only) always have a plus one for the placements when compared to any other private college except BITs as for placement along with quality you also need the contacts. Infrastructure is really important for engineering colleges. At OPJU, various engineering departments put great emphasis on laboratory work. While laboratories are also used for developing skills to use and apply various concepts, tools and techniques, their main purpose is to develop the core technical as well as general professional competencies through experiential and collaborative learning. Shops and other facilities such as a bank with ATM facilities, documentation centre, book store, mail room, and coffee shop provide for the day-to-day needs to students. Hostel rooms at OPJU are spacious, air-conditioned, fully furnished and eq

Interactions between students, teachers and pedagogical content, and thus, education, generally take place within a school's physical infrastructure. Physical infrastructure has significant impact on children's enrolment, attendance, completion rates and even learning achievements.

When you are selecting a college for you, A well-equipped, strategically located, well-connected college should also rank high in your selection list.
The expertise, experience and qualifications of the faculty members are equally important. The environment and ambiance of a college in a rural setting will be in stark contrast to those located in an urban setting. The difference may be visible in the open space, infrastructure, commuting and other facilities. The choice here will largely be influenced by your preference. Talking about my university, LPU is a much talked about the university as it is one of the premier institutions of i
