Is infrastructure really an important criteria for engineering colleges?
If yes, then why are overall placements for government engineering better than that of private engineering colleges?

Infrastructure is like a good package to attract more people. But if the thing inside the package is not good enough then after a few times people will understand its worth. Large campus, better facilities is not necessary for everyone. It is just a way to attract people and earn money from them. Better faculty, placements and pass out students are the real advertisements for a college. -
The infrastructure is one of the main aspect for private colleges to show there worth.
Larger campus area and more facilities always leads to attract people but it is not always what affects your placement.
Placement of the university always depends upon the quality they provide to the students during there duration of course.
