Hi, Is a hotel management course good for girls? What are its future scopes? As a female going into hotel management, I can tell you it is a wonderful course and career field for anyone who loves the hospitality/tourism industry. It is a wonderful field for both men and women. However, depending on which department you want to get into, you should be aware that it might require long hours and sometimes requires you to work night shifts. I believe that many women, especially in the front of house departments, are not willing to work night shifts and long hours after they become mothers. (Front of house departments are: the front office, bar outlets, restaurant outlets, etc. ). If you do not want to work night shifts or long hours you should go into a back of house department, (finance, marketing, guest service etc. ). I am personally looking to get into the hospitality marketing department because I do not want to work night shifts or long hours. As for the future scopes, the tourism industry is growing international. The basis of the hotel industry is the business industry; therefore, the basis of your course will be business.
