    With new technological advances, the way ticketing is done has changed drastically over the ages. As the aviation industry is booming and as more and more people have started using Air transport as a mean of communications, it has necessitated the need for more and more advanced software to make the task easier.
    IATA has come up with a portion that one needs to understand, learn and clear its exam, in order to thoroughly know the ticket reservation systems such as Amadeus and Galileo.     Hello,
    Ticketing is one of the vital cogs in the wheel of the successful aviation business. It's through ticketing that guests decide to travel via a particular airline giving it much needed revenues. Majority of airlines are part of IATA based in Montreal. Hence it's much better and very advantageous if one does the training for ticketing in an IATA certified training institute. This is known to all such training establishments and hence almost all of them are compliant entirely with requirements of IATA.     The International Air Transport Association (IATA), with its Headquarters in Montreal, Canada, is the Trade Association for the world's airlines, representing some 250 airlines or 84 % of total air traffic.
    Although, there is no compulsion that you need to have an IATA approved certificate to get into ground jobs but, if you have done a Diploma or a certificate from any of the IATA approved Institute like Sita World Academy, it would definitely be an add - on to your resume.
    IATA offers training in Aviation Services: Cabin Crew Training, Airport Operations, Cargo Operations, Travel and Tourism and so on.
