No, BCA is a professional course which requires a great knowledge of technology. This technological know-how should be certified by the council of AICTE.
If you are pursuing BCA from an institute rather than a college, there will be a big question mark on your certificate regarding its recognition because it's a private owned, there is no upper body that controls them. They are fully self-controlled. Well, let me put it this way. It's an open education system. Hence, on the basis of teaching staff, it will hugely depend on the study centre you get. Even if you do get a good one, classes won't be like school classes. It's more about doubt-clearing session.
You study for the whole week from the given material and clear the doubts on weekends by consulting with the faculty. They will be there to guide you. And lots of assignments, most of the semester will go by into completing them. They are very important.
Hence, everything will circle down to you and your ability to self-study.

Bachelor of Computer Application is a graduation programme currently quite a rage amongst youngsters. It leads to one getting jobs in any of the IT companies. In addition, it's a three years' course as against four year engineering degree. Also getting admission in an engineering college for a similar course is very tough.
