Is it good to pursue journalism and mass communication course after class 12th? What is the fee in IIMC for the same?

Hi Himadri,
You will be eligible to take up journalism in any recognised university only if you have 55% in your class 12th board exams (any stream). Students who have cleared the board exams with English as one of the best four subjects can apply for this course.
After class 12th, one can take up BA in journalism and mass communication. Some colleges offer this course on the basis of the class 12th board exams result. But, a few colleges do conduct entrance tests for this.

5 years agoYes, it is always good to pursue Journalism studies after 12th itself. AFCOS IIMCs are good without any doubt but there are few other institutes across the country which are equally good as IIMC's. Few things you should keep on your mind prior to proceed for Journalism degree.
Do they have an experienced faculty (Faculty must have expertise in theory and practical both). Do they have Adequate/appropriate equipment to make you expert in handling them? Do they have Audio/Video studio to teach them practically. Are they running any Media house? Do they provide the platform to you for doing practices? Do they have such atmosphere where you...more
