If you are good at teaching i.e. you have ability and quality in forwarding knowledge than you can shift, but if you are in a corporate job from long time than it might be difficult for you to change profession if you didn't have teaching experience yet, but it doesn't mean that it is imposible.
If your heart is saying to go for that then go for the same.
One more important point, you should have a financial backup as it requires some time to again settle in a new profession.
    All the best.

The answer to this question basically depends on one's priority and preferences. What are your interests matters here a lot.
The corporate sector can pay you a full of pocket while I am known to some personalities who left the huge salary jobs for their interest in teaching.
Teaching is the profession which gives satisfaction to some people and money doesn't maters for them. Although if you are fully dedicated to teaching, there are many opportunities to earn and learn.
After clearing the UGC NET, CSIR NET or GATE exams one can be a professor, assistant professor or lecturer in the top most institutes or colleges of India.

Teaching is a profession that invites people from different walks of life. Some people choose it as a career because they feel the perks could be great that is good salary, respect and even long holidays. Others join it for the pure passion and an opportunity to follow ones life purpose.
School teachers who want a career change but would like to continue in the education sector can become education consultants, working with schools and publishers to develop curricula and educational materials. Consultants do not necessarily need any additional educational qualification to transition from teaching. A Masters degree and classroom experien

    Hi,
It totally depends on your interest, if you are interested in teaching then you can surely switch.
If you want to become a professor in a college you will have to do Masters crack UGC NET (National Entrance Test) and then only you can apply for the position of assistant lecturer or Junior Research Fellowship in a college/university. On the other hand, if you are looking for teaching in school you will have to do a B.Ed. course then only you will be eligible. So, you can surely switch but you will have to put extra efforts in collecting degrees.
I would suggest that you look for opportunities in the learning and development departmen

    Hi,
The answer to your question completely depends on you, you have to decide what do you like most and then proceed accordingly, it should not be like you switch to teaching and later regret it, make sure to decide following before making any move:
    1. Do you have interest in teaching or are currently working for any MNC? If you have strong interests and not flexible, you may not be able to enjoy working in industry which is of not your interest.
    2. Do you enjoy teaching or solving problems?
If you enjoy teaching, you stop comparing yourself with MNC employees or your friends and tell yourself you have chosen the path which may not be fina

    Hi,
In corporate world, you have plenty of new learning every day. You get to interact and understand about the market, surrounding and the world. If we talk about switching to a teaching profession, I would strongly suggest you to not to do that. Being in a corporate is fun and a new challenge.
In teaching profession, you are restricted to one class or a decided place, but have to teach and repeat just one thing that you are master of, whole day, week, month and even whole year. You get nothing new. I am telling you this because I am myself a teacher in a reputed school, but if I were into a corporate, I would not wish to switch to teac

The answer depends on the professional objectives of an individual and there is a lot of subjectivity to it. I have personally seen people making a successful transition from corporate to academia. I personally think that given the dearth of dynamism in academia and the growing commercialization of education in India, we need people who are proactive, street smart and disrupt the sector. Also, with the advent of education industry in the past few years, the number of corporate professionals entering into education and teaching is expected to increase. Teaching can be more fulfilling and can provide a better work life balance than a cor
