Is it mandatory to take LPU NEST for B.Tech CSE if my percentage in 12th board is 80%?

Should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2021, in final examination of 10+2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. Declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable. Being Alumni of LPU, I would like to answer this question. At LPU, Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, as per the official website of LPU, the Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) is defined as - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of Eligibility and Scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. LPU NEST serves both the purposes. Also, if you have qualified LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, you can also improve your score for Scholarship purpose as well. For qualifying the LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, around 40% marks are required but for Scholarship purpose, cut-offs are required to be qualified for LPU NEST. Dear Virat, Yes, you have to give LPU NEST. Does not matter from which board you are and how much percentage you got in your last qualifying exam you need to give LPU NEST. This test helps to prove your eligibility for the programmes for which you are applying for. LPU is the largest private university in India. Which offers 200+ programmes and LPU NEST is their National Eligibility and Scholarship Test. You'll still have to give LPU NEST for most of the programs and there are some cases in LPU NEST that can be exempted but in the usual scenario, you'll have to attempt LPU NEST too to check your eligibility and possibly get a scholarship at LPU. Now, let me tell you some things about LPU NEST. There is a need for LPU NEST for almost all the courses in LPU because LPU NEST serves as an eligibility test and scholarship test.
