The official high school or college / university transcripts are required and they must be in English. The transcripts from foreign universities should be evaluated by an acceptable US-based agency, such as Educational Credential Evaluators.

The CSUDH acceptance rate stands at around 88%, which suggests it is selective, but to a limited extent. However, the East-West University, based in Chicago, Illinois, has an acceptance rate of about 100%, suggesting securing admissions at the institute is relatively easier than doing so at California State.
It is worth noting, that both institutes prioritise highly qualified applicants, & therefore, students are still expected to perform well in their past education & satisfy the respective institution's admission requirements, to secure a seat at either institute.
Both Chicago State & East West are considered part of the best institutions in Illinois. Despite that, the Chicago State University's acceptance rate of 48% is less than half of East West University's. While Chicago State can be deemed selective, East West University with an acceptance rate of 100% is relatively much easier to secure admissions to.
