Hi,
According to the eligibility criteria for IIT JEE 2018. If you have cleared 12th Board, then you are eligible to appear for the JEE Mains 2018 exam.

If you are planning to get admission in any IIT, NIT, or IIIT, then you have to score at least 75% in your 12th boards. Those who have scored less than 75% in 12th can still give the JEE Mains exam and then they can use its scorecard to get admission in other private colleges of India. -
Yes, it necessary to have at least 75% marks in your board exams, if you belong to general category and at least 65% if you belong to any other reserved categories.
Only then you will be eligible to appear for JEE main exam.
You can prefer NCERT books of class 11th and class 12th for PCM concepts. Solve as many model papers and exercises along with the previous year papers.
Have the formulae of PCM in your fingertips and practice many questions within time limits.
You may also prefer Arihant series and TMH Tata Mcgraw Hill.
