A Medical physicists research and develop techniques and equipment used to diagnose and treat illness. Medical physicists also help to develop new technology for diagnosis and treatment, covering areas such as imaging techniques, radio therapies, electronics, and laser technology. To become a medical physicist you need to have:- (I) A basic degree in Science from a recognised university, with Physics as one of the main subjects; (ii) A post graduate degree in radiological/medical Physics from a recognised university; & (iii) An internship of minimum 12 months in a recognised well-equipped radiation therapy department. Dear Sujith, I don't think so that it is mandatory but you can choose it as an elective subject. My friend did B.Sc (Hons. ) in Physics from LPU and now working in the research sector. Following foundation courses are taught in this programme: -CalculusMechanic and Mechanics LaboratoryElectricity & magnetism. C programmingThermal PhysicsDifferential Equations
In addition to that, specialised electives courses are also taught, e. g. , Electronics, Material Science, Software, etc. Also, students may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University, subject to cert...more

Well, if you have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, all three in your Bachelor's degree you should first understand and analyze that which subject you like the most and you are highly interested in. Then devote atleast a year and evaluate the scope of M.Sc in that particular subject, study it and then select the subject. Don't be in a rush, take your time.
