Is it possible to get into Ara Institute of Canterbury's B.Tech programme without work experience?

<p>The entry requirements for the Bachelor of Information and Communication Technologies (B.Tech) programme are:</p><p><strong>NCEA Level 3 (60 credits at level 3 and 20 credits at level 2 or higher) which must include:</strong></p><ul><li>14 credits at Level 3 in each of three approved subjects including a minimum of 9 credits in Calculus and 9 credits in Statistics and Probability</li><li>Literacy (10 credits at Level 2 or above made up of 5 credits in reading and 5 credits in writing)</li><li>Numeracy (10 credits at Level 1 or above)</li><li>If you have undertaken examinations other than NCEA (e.g. International Baccalaureate, Cambridge Examination), Ara will assess your qualification for academic entry equivalency.</li><li>Alternatively, you may be granted entry if you have successfully completed a relevant qualification, such as the New Zealand Diploma in Information Technology Technical Support (Level 5) or the New Zealand Diploma in Web Development and Design (Level 5), or equivalent.</li></ul><p>There is no mention of work experience as a requirement for the B.Tech programme, so it seems possible to get into it without work experience. However, you may need to meet other criteria such as English language proficiency, health and safety, and criminal history checks.
