Is it true? I have heard from my professors that the scope of mechanical engineering is decreasing while the scope in IT and CS is growing.

Mechanical engineering is an evergreen core branch of engineering with little cyclical changes in job market & scope. Mechanical engineers from reputed Engineering colleges get good starting salaries. By the way charm of CSE & IT has started fading.
