Arts, Humanity and Commerce are very different branches as Science. Yes, it is difficult to get into Science and Engineering if one doesn't have a pre base. There are lot of examples of people switching from science to arts but not vice versa. This is because the complexity cannot be understood by self.
A person should be sure of what to do while choosing streams. The longer the correct career clicks, the more difficult it is.

Yes, it is true that a candidate who is studying arts and humanities course can make a career in this and the candidate is also not eligible for it. For choosing a Bachelors in arts, a candidate form any course can take admission but for engineering or medical, a candidate must have science in 12th class.
All BA subjects are theoretical which are just like a story but in science, the candidate has to solve the numerical problems and do practicals which require a basic understanding of the subject. Science has many laws and formula in intermediate class which helps a student in further classes.

No, let me tell you that everything we do can be done by a science student also. It can be harder to study theoretical physics than Greek art. Not impossible, but maybe harder. The advantage for science students is they can end up in any major they like while humanities students have fewer options.
If you go through the humanities path, you can end up in social sciences and business administration (always when you take mathematics and statistics courses) and obviously, the humanities field. There are careers in psychology, literature, philosophy, sociology, law, etc. For all of these, the best option is to go to a graduate school.
