Is it worth to pursue Ph.D. from LPU?

Being an educational consultant, I can say a Ph.D. at LPU is worth it. LPU offer both Full-time and Part-time Ph.D. in the various programme. If you have decided to pursue Ph.D. at LPU, then go for it. You will get scholarships as well, especially for women. One of my friends enrolled for Ph.D. at LPU. Let me share the criteria of admission to join Ph.D. at LPU. It is not difficult to get admission to Ph.D. if you are good at research work. To increase your chances to get admission in Ph.D. , you should have a good academic record and area of research you want to work in. There are many universities which offer the Ph.D. programme, LPU is one of the best university to do Ph.D. to enhance your knowledge in the research area. Let me share something about the Ph.D. programme at LPU. *Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)* Masters degree with 55%* marks in aggregate in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview. Other conditions, as prescribed in the Guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D. ) programmes. 5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / differently-able candidates. *Selection Criteria:* * An applicant will be short-listed for an interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). * The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview. *Exemption from Entrance Test* Applicants who have qualified UGC (NET/ JRF)/ CSIR (NET/ JRF)/ ICAR (JRF/ SRF) examination/ SLET (Punjab only)/ GATE or GPAT scorecard/ ICAR (NET), SPM, Teacher Fellowship holder or passed M.Phil. Programme (in Regular mode only) are exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). Note: * Exemption is for LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) only but the applicant will have to fill the LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) form and appear for the Interview. The applicants are required to bring the original documents against which exemption is sought at the time of interview. * GATE/GPAT score should be valid at the time of admission. * The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview. Yes, it will worth doing a Ph.D. from LPU (Lovely Professional University). The university is one of the best universities in Punjab. Hi there, Of-course Yes, I am myself a Ph.D. scholar at LPU and like there no such thing that demotivates me or that allows me to think like worthy or not. LPU is a UGC recognised university, a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination, and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. So, it is valid across the globe. Ph.D. programme will be of a minimum of 3 years duration and of maximum 6 years from the date of admission. The women candidates and persons with disabilities (more than 40% disability) may be allowed a relaxation of two years for a Ph.D. in the maximum duration. In addition, the women candidates may be provided Maternity Leave/Child Care Leave once in the entire duration of a Ph.D. for up to 240 days. Ph.D. students should be constantly in touch with his / her guide and carry out his / her research work. Full-time students need to be present in the university regularly for six hours in a day and five days a week to interact with their Guide/Supervisor and to do their research work. Duty leaves can be provided by the Center for Research Degree Programmes on request of Students for doing research-related activities (attending conferences/workshops/seminars or experimental work to be carried out in some other institutes). Part-Time Student need to interact with his/her guide at least once in a month (in person by physically visiting or through other electronic means). Hi there, I am an alumnus of LPU. I have done BCA at LPU is a place where a person can learn many things. Yes of course you can do Ph.D. at LPU they offer a lot of Courses in Ph.D. LPU is recognised by UGC University Grant Commission. They offer Ph.D. in various disciplines. They have both part-time and full time Ph.D. Options. But for part-time Ph.D. student have to give the experience letter from the employer and LPU does provide Flexible course work to the students. To ease the life of their students. Option 1 they can attend one semester January to April Saturdays or Sundays option 2 4* days every month Feb to may option 3 15 days may to June. What I believe or Ph.D you always do possess research oriented approach. Like other courses here also in doctoral level study, you need to be hard working, studious, focused to your domain of study so that you could be able to complete your Ph.D. in minimum time frame with Good Research Publication.
