Is LPU a better option than any UPTU college with respect to placements and preparing students for it?

I had worked closely as Faculty Placement Coordinator in LPU. As per my understanding before talking about final placement one should consider about steps of getting shortlisted in campus placement drive where backed preparation plays an important role. As per my experience, selection criteria kept as much nominal as can by most of the companies for shortlisting of students for Placement drive. Final Placement depends upon many other parameters set by the prospective employer as per the requirement of that particular job profile. Below are the few initiatives taken by LPU for the preparation of it's student for the placement. First step : LPU considers student's career interest / pathway in following 4 ways, 1) Corporate Job 2) Government Job 3) Higher Studies 4) Entrepreneurship Students just need to select their pathway elective subjects to continue with their placement related trainings. Accordingly students are provided with PEP (Professional Enhancement programme) classes from the very first semester with which students all round development like Soft Skill, Interpersonal Skill, Combination Skill etc. LPU possess dedicated 3 Nos. Of Centre of Professional Enhancement Cells consists of highly qualified & Industry Trained professional / career trainer. These cells used to work round the clock to develop students industry proficiency skills to make them Industry Ready from day 1. Curriculum & pedagogy subjects are developed accordingly. It's having dedicated Division of Career Services which do work round the clock for the placement of the students. LPU is having tie ups with multiple foreign Universities which provides excellent International exposure under students exchange programme during their studies which in turn definitely helps the students in grabbing multiple job opportunities at the end of their studies. LPU is having unbeatable Placement Record with nearly 100 % success rate in most of the courses. These are the inside stories of LPUs success towards the highest placement in India. Lovely Professional University is close to my heart. Ive spend some of the very memorable days of my college life here and looking forward to so much more. Ive tried summing up my experience so far, below: If I talk about Infrastructure, LPU's campus is one of the largest lush green campuses of India which is spread over 600+ acres. Gym, Hi-Speed 24 Hrs free Wi-Fi service, Swimming pool. Very good central Library of 6 floors and huge collection of text-books and reference books. The campus has its own hospital, hotel, and a mall. The classes are well-designed with all the latest amenities available. Another thing that I liked about the university was that it has some of the best teachers on board. Not only did they make the classroom sessions interesting, but they were also were very friendly and catered to any doubts I had about a particular topic. I had a great academic exposure during my time at LPU. Students here get to work on live projects because of which they are able to learn in depth about their subjects. They also get to attend the workshops and guest lectures during their time in the campus which actually help them gain valuable knowledge. Also, in my view, I think you should not worry about the placements. If you work hard in the course and learn as much as you can, any company visiting the campus would be happy to hire you. However, you must not neglect polishing your communication skills as well, because companies will check that in their interviews. LPU provides plenty of opportunities to its students to take part in events, competitions, fests in order to let them grow their personality and give them a chance to polish their skills. The students of LPU has been placed in the top companies with high salary packages. The placements have been divided as dream packages and bulk recruiters. Apart from placements, many eminent companies approach LPU to hire students for internships. A Salary package of 42 LPA was offered by Amazon. The centre for Professional enhancement of LPU aims at developing new skill sets to its students besides improving their existing skills and competencies. The students get trained in Logical Reasoning, Aptitude, Verbal Ability, and Soft Skills by professional faculty members. LPU provides various opportunities which range from one-day workshops to a semester-long academic course which improves the learning experiences of its students.

No, LPU is not good as compared to UPTU College. LPU has big building, smart college, but the quality that it should have is not up to the mark. Under UPTU, there are some college which are very good and only few topper students can get admission in that. At certain level, LPU is also good and placement is also average.

Yes, LPU is the better option because you will get all the opportunities to explore yourself. All the faculty members are highly educated and you will get all the facilities related to your course. Many big companies like Amazon, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. Come to hire the students with decent packages.

I have no idea about the UPTU but I can tell about the LPU Jalandhar Punjab which best university to choose for higher studies. I have studied from LPU my MBA and one of my friend was doing the B.Tech from there and told some good things about this programme as follow: The best faculty member from, IITs, NITS, Iims, and top universities. Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft in 2020. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarship to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students on the basis of their academics and extracurricular activities Practical on hand: Teacher helps student in their project and motivate for completing our goals. Infrastructure: All the facilities are available on the campus itself, a student does not need to go outside for anything. On the campus, Central Library, Hospital facility is available 24*7 for staff and student, Shopping mall, Indoor Sports Stadium with 3 Olympic size Swimming Pools, Public/Private Sector Banks, ATM, etc.

Being an alumnus from LPU and selected in campus placements, I believe I can answer your concern. LPU gives great placement opportunities to its students. Every year breaks its own record of placements. Many giants like Amazon, Interviewbit have offered packages of around 30 LPA to LPU students from CSE. VMWARE, Jugnoo, Pegasystems have offered packages of 9LPA to students, many other companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Bosch have offered packages of 6 LPA and the list is endless. International Companies like Hyatt (USA), Ritz Carlton (USA), Adani Wilmar (Africa), Altruist (Africa), Al-Rakha (Dubai), Dharam Consultancy (USA) have selected LPU student from management discipline. Student from LPU got placed in Microsoft at a package of 42 LPA. LPU has various tie-ups with Google, Pega, VMWARE, AUTOMATION ANYWHERE, INFORMATICA, COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (CompTIA). Talking about placement scenario of 2020: 1. Around 630 companies visited LPU for recruitment 2. Around 192 companies offered packages of more than 5 LPA 3. Bosch, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Cap Gemini have been the top recruiters. 4. Trident offered package of 15LPA to many students of LPU. In short, there is no shortage of placement opportunities to the student of LPU. LPU is much better than any other University. It is a UGC recognized and a renowned University and is considered as one among top 5 universities of the country because of its quality education and unbeatable placements, immense on course exposures and a beautiful 600 acres campus to live in with latest facilities. I am saying this as per my experience and being an alumnus of LPU, I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements etc. Choosing which programme to join, and to which university you should go, is one of the most important decisions you will make. Before searching for any University, You should compare universities on various parameter like academics, Industrial exposure, placements, infrastructure, On-Campus Facilities &amp; Amenities, Student Activities etc. So, choose the programme and the University to join very wisely. The International exposure students get with foreign internship opportunities with articulation programs opportunities where one can complete his/her degree in the foreign country under 1+1 program, where the student will study one year in LPU and final year abroad and get the degree of the foreign university, gives these students such an opportunity which makes them adaptable to the changing scenarios in the corporate world. Diversity and experience, LPU has more than 30000 students from about 70 countries, what an experience it would be to study among international students. The number of international students studying there is 6000+ from all around the world, which makes them adapt and work with diverse culture all around the world. Global tie-ups and MOU with top foreign universities for scope of foreign studies and foreign placement. Ranked 2nd for OUTREACH AND INCLUSIVITY in all of INDIA. The network and tie ups this university has is unthinkable. LPU is better compared to all the other UPTU colleges and the reason is its placements, campus life, infrastructure, etc. The campus here at LPU is so lively and beautiful. The campus in itself is a completely different world. You will have all the facilities that you can think of inside the campus itself. The teaching methodology here is also very good. They focus on innovative teaching embedding all the latest trends, practical knowledge, etc. The faculty members here are also very knowledgeable. Faculty members are highly qualified, most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D. and others are pursuing, They have at least a minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge. They are cooperative and whenever you need their help they are ready to help you out. The faculty recruited by the university are only either experienced or alumni of NIT, IIT, and Iims. And when we talk about the placements here, it is far better than many private colleges of India. More than 550 companies visit the campus every year to recruit students with around half of them offering dream packages.
