Being a student of LPU, I think I can provide you with an honest opinion. Though I'm not pursuing my B.Sc. In agriculture, I do have many friends who are pursuing the same. LPU is accredited by ICAR. It is the 1st private university to get accredited by ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research). B.Sc. Agriculture degree offers a number of avenues for growth. The graduates desirous of specializing may opt for a Masters programme. The Undergraduate Degree in B.Sc. Agriculture consists of few core subjects such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Genetics, Plant Pathology, Land Surveying, Entomology Horticulture, Physiology, Food Science, water resource management, and Animal Products management. A number of subjects such as Economics, Meteorology, Technology, Business, and Production Management are studied in close reference to the subject. A large part of the agriculture programme is based in practice inculcated via field trips, study tours, and projects. A B.Sc. Graduate is expected to master concepts like macro-micro crop planning, Agri-financing and agricultural Statistics and use them extensively. LPU is the 1st private university that got approval from ICAR. (I). Hi, In my perspective, I gave my vote to LPU for B.Sc. In agriculture as one of my cousins graduated in this course from LPU, and I will highlight some of the features. 1. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. 2. The faculty is well qualified, and most of them are Ph. This and provide full support to the students. 3. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held. If a faculty wants a leave, either the makeup lectures are planned, or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. 4. In this stream, as most of the work is fieldwork, every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks under the supervision of the staff. 5. University provides additional placement-oriented classes. Students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etc. Etera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. Hello Sameeksha, I have spent 4 years in lpu for my studies and I have seen that the agriculture department is one of the finest departments. Well-equipped and well grown from the last couple of years. Moreover, LPU is the first private university got ICAR approval. LPU holds a stellar record in placements as big brands like VLCC Healthcare Ltd. , Ankur Seeds, HDFC, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. , Ebro India Pvt. Ltd. , etc. Have visited for campus recruitment at packages upto 4.5 LPA. In addition to this, students can attain positions as Agriculture Inspectors, Agriculture Officers, POs, Food Quality Inspectors, Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Technical Assistants and administrative posts in government and non-government organizations. Over and above, I also came to know that recently, LPU has been ranked in top 80 amongst all private and government institutes by NIRF, MHRD, GOI which shows the quality being delivered at the institute.
