Is LPU good for civil engineering?

Civil Engineering is marvelous as one of my friends shared the highlights which I am about to share. In Civil Engineering emphasis is on the evolution of manmade infrastructure as they understand that how they have evolved to the present scenario. With advancement of technology in leaps and bounds the future of civil engineering in the years to come will be crucial, especially with the establishment of smart cities. My Friend in this domain at LPU was telling me that Students are exposed to different practical oriented fun games and learning activities such as competitions, quizzes, workshops, live projects, etc. Which create an opportunity for students to engage and hone up their analysis, design and drawing skillswhich is required at industry. Intellectual Industry officials regularly visit school for guiding faculty members and students itself. Workshops are being arranged for enhancing student knowledge. : Experienced faculty members of the discipline nominated as mentors to eligible students which resulted in students satisfaction and improved placements. School of Civil Engineering, Lovely Professional University, has signed MOU with NHAI for giving paid internship opportunity to our existing B.Tech and M.Tech Civil Engineering students. The school in co-ordination with Division of Career Services has moved from strength to strength and has placed many students in national and international organizations like Al-Rakha, Simplex, Cognizant etc.

There are numerous Universities or colleges that offer Civil Engineering course but Lovely Professional University is the best place for B.Tech civil engineering. The Civil Engineering is a programme which articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology through lab practice and projects to gain knowledge in areas like Structural, Environmental & Highway Engineering, Construction Management etc. Which are in sync with industry requirements. Civil Engineering is one of the most popular courses in LPU and to motivate and encourage the students of civil engineering, LPU is organizing a National Conference on Technical Advancements in Civil Engineering (NCTACE 2016). This conference is being organized in collaboration with MS Simplex Infrastructures Limited, UltraTech Cement and Institution of Civil Engineers (UK) and the motive of this conference is to bring together the scientists, researchers, academicians, industrialists and students so that they can have valuable discussions and debates related to the field of Civil Engineering. Moreover, this conference would serve as a platform through which the civil engineering students can get in touch with various companies and industrialists and this would help in broadening their job prospects. After considering all the aspects it can be said that Civil Engineering is certainly a lucrative career option as the future of this particular field of engineering is really bright. Hence students should definitely consider it as a career option.
