With the advancement of technology in leaps and bounds, the future of civil engineering in the years to come will be crucial, especially with the establishment of smart cities. LPU is nurturing the students to adapt and be equipped with this ever-changing scenario. The school, in coordination with the Division of Career Services, has moved from strength to strength. Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways. In order to provide good facilities and better scope, LPU teaches students by performing practical as well. They assign you a different project which will be beneficial from your placement point of view. While when you are in developing your project proper facilities of labs are also provided where you can go even at night also. LPU invests a lot of time, effort, and money in its faculty. A large number of faculty development programs, international conferences, and other cross-university programs keep on happening throughout the year. A large number of faculty visits foreign universities like Stanford and UCLA for such programs and collaborative research possibilities. Talking about Civil Engineering placement, it was well and good. Last year more than 95-100% of students were placed. You will get a chance to work on the Capstone project as well. Most of the big MNCs recruit students from LPU.

He told me B.Tech in civil engineering course involves so much more than theoretical know-how. In addition to classroom lectures, students here learn via hands-on experiences which include site visits, lab sessions and so on. PPTs, animations and similar technological techniques are a regular part of classroom teaching too. The course material provided here enables to practice civil engineering using up-to-date techniques, skills, and tools as a result of life-long learning ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. The course benefits the students by giving them an understanding of professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities. Civil Engineering is marvelous as one of my friends shared the highlights which I am about to share. In Civil Engineering emphasis is on the evolution of manmade infrastructure as they understand that how they have evolved to the present scenario. With advancement of technology in leaps and bounds the future of civil engineering in the years to come will be crucial, especially with the establishment of smart cities. My Friend in this domain at LPU was telling me that Students are exposed to different practical oriented fun games and learning activities such as competitions, quizzes, workshops, live projects, etc. Which create an opportunity for students to engage and hone up their analysis, design and drawing skillswhich is required at industry. Intellectual Industry officials regularly visit school for guiding faculty members and students itself. Workshops are being arranged for enhancing student knowledge. : Experienced faculty members of the discipline nominated as mentors to eligible students which resulted in students satisfaction and improved placements. Hi there, first of all let me tell you, Civil engineers generally work in a variety of locations and conditions. It is common for them to split their time between working in an office and working outdoors at construction sites so that they can monitor operations or solve problems onsite. Now to work in multilingual environment, there is a high requirement of exposure to both National & International platform at the time of your pursuance of course itself. So in my opinion, it's better to grab the opportunity of International Exposure provided by the University.
