Hello! LPU offers a very extensive and well-designed mechanical engineering course. An Engineering programme which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal etc. Specialisation. The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream. The labs and workspace at LPU School of Mechanical Engineering, was fully equipped with all the necessary machinery that was required for our wholesome learning. While doing my B.Tech at LPU, we were provided with many opportunities to get national as well as international exposure. While at the university, every now and then we were allowed to attend conferences and talk sessions conducted by many august persons who have achieved much in the field of Science and engineering. I, a regular student, didn't do much research work while I was there, but many of my friends got the opportunity to present their research papers at international congregations, which is a fine accomplishment for any engineering student. Friendly professors, alumnus of the top engineering colleges of the country were always very supportive of our study techniques and provided professional advice whenever we needed help, rather than mindlessly leaving us hanging! Hello Ashraf, LPU is a well renowned private university in India with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculty members and staff members. There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure, LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognitions and accreditation down the lane and mark itself amongst the few of the top private universities. The Mechanical Engineering programme seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal etc. Specialisation. Placements: There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for placements of the mech. Students. It varies from 3 Lacs per annum to 12 Lacs per annum. On average, the placements are 5 Lacs in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your hard work. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST/ JEE (Mains). For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) If Candidate has 85 or more percentile in JEE (Mains), then LPU NEST is exempted. The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics and computational skills and tools. He should have the Ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. He should acquire Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using basic understanding of Thermodynamics Heat transfer and Fluid Mechanics. He should Demonstrate the ability to propose cost effective optimized solutions using simulated environments of Computer aided design, computer aided manufacturing and computer aided engineering. The highest salary package offered to mechanical branch students is 31 LPA, while the average salary is 4.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bosch, ONGC, Ashok Leyland, Hitachi, etc.

There is industry immersion through training, projects and guest lectures and collaboration with industries that helps them to learn from real life situations. Various courses are also designed like Seminar and Project to enhance technical and presentation skills and develop teamwork capabilities. The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc. Faculties are highly qualified, most of the faculties have done their Ph.D and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge.
