Is LPU good for mechanical engineering?

The LPU offers a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, etc. Specialisation. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics, and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics, and computational skills and tools. He should have the ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. He should acquire the Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using a basic understanding of Thermodynamics Heat transfer, and Fluid Mechanics. He should demonstrate the ability to propose cost-effective optimised solutions using simulated environments of Computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing, and computer-aided engineering. The highest salary package offered to mechanical branch students is 25 LPA, while the average salary is 5 LPA. It is true that LPU is a good university for pursuing mechanical engineering but I would suggest the aspirates to go for a NAAC A+ certified Chandigarh university. At the university the students get an opportunity to perform the required activity in a practical form of knowledge. The university has a great track record in the placement of the students. The university has got more than 50 more companies that have added in the placement tally even in the pandemic year of 2020. The academic year of 2021-22 more than 7000 students got placed in more than 240 big named companies from Microsoft to HP to Amazon and many more. The highest LPA of 36 Lacs was registered in the year and an average LPA of 8 Lacs were registered in the presiding year. So to go ahead in the career and build on it in a long run ho for Chandigarh University.

LPU might be a good option but if you ask for the best, I can suggest the very one name and that is Chandigarh University. This university is a dream-maker to fulfill your dreams in each and every stream. In the context of engineering, the courses like CSE, Mechanical, Electrical, Biotechnology, IT establish the best example among all the technical courses by their fantastic learning process and placements. Companies like Microsoft, Google used to run their placement drives and give the high profile gateway for the freshers. Mechanical engineering is one of the best tech. Course of this university where you will get a very good lab environment along with hands-on learning facilities which is very important to stand as a technical professional in this stream. Hello! Mechanical Engineering is a highly dynamic programme, it requires the university/college to upgrade its curriculum as per industry which changes really fast. Very few universities have recognised this and developed the systems to inculcate this important point. Only LPU and to some extent thapar and PEC in northern part of India have been able to do it.
