Is LPU good for mechanical?

Mechanical engineering deals with the working and functioning of electrical appliances and motor vehicles which find large scope in the future markets. I am from Management background so I don't know about this programme deeply but my cousin brother has done ME from Lovely Professional University. Few points told by my brother who did his studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision: The school has well qualified and experienced faculty members with specialisation in various fields like, Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. Projects and Applications The Department takes immense pride in offering innovative Live Projects that will help in providing technical exposure to the students while developing state of the art applications. Mechanical engineering deals with the working and functioning of electrical equipment's, heavy machines, different materiel to make human life easy and motor vehicles which has a large scope in the future markets. A large scale field work is required and mechanical students keep developing themselves working in their respective workshops and their live projects. When it comes to placements, There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for recruitment of mechanical students. The packages varies from 3 Lacs to 12 Lacs per annum. On an average, the packages are 5 Lacs in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your handwork. Hope this will help you!

Hi there, Mechanical Engineering is a highly dynamic programme, it requires the university/college to upgrade its curriculum as per industry which changes really fast. Very few universities have recognised this and developed the systems to inculcate this important point. Only LPU and to some extent thapar and PEC in northern part of India have been able to do it. Hello, There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU is good for mechanical. They provide good placements in core company as well as software company like Go-Kart, Project Expo, Entertainment events like one India, one world etc. They provide practical based learning not only focus on theory aspect. Good Luck!

Mechanical Engineering at LPU is good not best. Mechanical Engineering at LPU is good not best. You need to be motivated to be hired, if employment is your priority then look for other institutions but if higher education is your priority then opt for LPU. The Eligibility for B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering (ME)is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (I. e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University) Lovely Professional University conducts its own test LPU NEST (National Entrance & Scholarship Test). This test forms the basis of eligibility for some of the programmes and scholarship for most of the programmes. The amount of scholarship depends on the fee of the programme, date of admission and performance of the student in LPU NEST.
