Is LPU good to pursue B.Tech in Civil Engineering?

I cannot really say anything about Amity, but my friend is working at LPU and I can inform you about LPU and specifically about engineering. As engineering is one of the most opted courses of LPU, all the major streams of engineering are available. Eg: CSE, Biotech, Mechanical, Civil, etc. PLACEMENT: LPU provides 100% placement along with placement classes. Companies like Microsoft, cognizant, Google, etc. Recruit students in masses. Every year 500+ students from this department are placed with brilliant packages. EDUCATION: The engineering department of LPU is one of the most prominent departments. It is ranked amongst the top engineering schools in the country. The university focuses upon quality education along with practical-based learning. LABS & FACILITIES: The university has all the technologies needed for the course. Well-equipped labs along with highly qualified teachers. The students are provided with notes and are allowed to clear their doubts in the class and also on platforms like LPU UMS, LPU TOUCH, LPU LIVE. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: LPU has hosted events like ISC Indian Science Congress ) which has inaugurated by Mr. Narendra Modi. Students were allowed to showcase their talent in the technical field. The university also supports the students for their personal projects and events. Lovely Professional University is the only private university in India that has attained the NABL accreditation in the field of mechanical testing of building and construction materials. With better theoretical and practical knowledge, students are much more competent than any other university. Actually I did MBA from Lovely Professional University but I have one friend who has done B.Tech Civil Engineering From LPU. He told me B.Tech in civil engineering course involves so much more than theoretical know-how. <p>Well, Lovely Professional University (LPU) indeed is a good option for a B.Tech in Civil Engineering. The placement records are quite solid: approximately 75% to 88% of their students are placed recently. It fetches an average salary package of about INR 9.6 LPA, with the highest packages being around INR 15 LPA and exceptionally rising to as much as 3 crores per annum in some rare cases. Some major recruiters for Civil Engineering students include Google, Amazon, Bosch, Cognizant, and Ultra-Tech. The infrastructure is one of the strongest parts; well-equipped laboratories, good campus facilities, and experienced faculty including Ph.D. holders and few IIT and NIT teachers. Industry-relevant syllabus prepares the students for a better practical exposure and growth in their careers. However, placement in the core civil sector companies might be a bit competitive but provides good exposure in roles such as site engineers. It also provides decent internship opportunities along with stipends.</p>

<p>LPU is generally considered a solid option for pursuing <strong data-start="62" data-end="93">B.Tech in Civil Engineering</strong>, but whether it is very good depends on what your priorities are (core civil work vs broader job roles, cost, etc.).</p><p>LPU offers well‑equipped facilities for civil engineering students: structural analysis labs, soil/geo‑mechanics, surveying labs, material testing, concrete &amp; structural testing, etc.</p><p>Faculty have good education qualifications (M.Tech / Ph.D.), industry exposure, and the curriculum is reported to include modern civil engineering topics (smart building, structural design, geo‑technical etc.)</p>
