5 years agoHi Narain, Lovely Professional University is absolutely a perfect institutions for mechanical engineering. Appearing in a GATE is not necessary. However a candidate can appear in LPU NEST to enhance or to get the scholarship. Being an education consultant I would refer the recent NIRF rankings released by MHRD in 2020 where LPU comes under top in best institutions of India. Dear Narain, GATE is not mandatory to apply for the M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering programme at LPU. You can appear for the LPU NEST exam for the programme and get admission easily. My friend also completed B.Tech and M.Tech from LPU itself. Good Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement.
