Is LPU NEST there for getting admission in B.Arch?

Asked about Lovely Professional University, Admission Office - Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.)

Is there any scholarship exam like LPU NEST for getting admission in B.Arch? Is it possible to get a scholarship by securing a good rank in NATA examination? If LPU NEST is necessary for scholarship then is the syllabus (mathematics, chemistry, physics) same for B.Tech and B.Arch aspirants?

LPU doesn't have its own entrance test (NEST) specifically for B.Arch admission. NATA assesses your drawing and observation skills, aesthetic sensitivity, and critical thinking ability. JEE Main Paper 2 evaluates your aptitude in mathematics, drawing, and general aptitude. These tests ensure that students entering the B.Arch program have the necessary skills and aptitude for architectural studies. you must have passed your 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. To get admission to the B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) program at Lovely Professional University (LPU), you are not required to appear for the LPU NEST (LPU’s own entrance exam). Instead, LPU follows the eligibility criteria set by the Council of Architecture (COA), which mandates that admission into the B.Arch program is based on scores from the following exams:

    1. NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture)
    2. JEE Main Paper 2 (Architecture Aptitude Test)

Eligibility Criteria for LPU B.Arch Admission:

    • 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

LPU NEST is conducted multiple times in a year. There is no requirement to appear for the previous phase of the exam to appear for the next phase. The application form will be available for each phase separately. The candidates can log in to the official website and submit the application form, and appear for the exam. The exam is conducted from January to August.

Yes, you can appear for the  LPU NEST exam again in a later phase. Lovely Professional University allows candidates to appear in multiple phases of LPU NEST to improve their scores. To take the exam in a subsequent phase, the candidates must submit the application form again on the official website. Each phase of the  LPU NEST is treated separately, and the candidates will receive a new score and rank based on their performance in that phase of the exam.

No dear, there is no extra fees to appear in LPUNEST mock test . You only need to submit application fees of test . Here I would also like to inform you that if you choose online mode to appear for test only then its required to appear in mock test before final exam, so that you will get familiar with exam's software beforehand and comfortably qualify test on final date at home .

On the other hand, If you choose test center based option then there is no mock test in that mode. You only need to visit test center by carry hall ticket alongwith other documents such as copy of application form, ID proofs etc.

I hope this helps,
