Yes, I would like to tell you that yes, you need good mathematical skills because you have to give maths-1, 2 and 3 exams during your BCA and to clear them you at least should know calculus and should have basic understanding of class 12th mathematics.
For programming also, you need to develop logic to code, therefore I would say that maths plays a major role but if you have interest in coding and want to join in IT field then you must take BCA and practice mathematics.

No, normally it's not required but some colleges take there they have Maths as a subject but if you can secure marks with remaining subjects then you can get an admission but several colleges and universities also give you liberty to opt for the course without having Maths.

It is not compulsory that you have a mathematical background but you must be aware of mathematical concepts because in most of the universities maths is taught as the core subject for at least one semester.

    Hi,
There is no need of having math as a subject in class 12th and you can very easily apply for a BCA course. There is a wide range of institute or universities allow the students to get BCA admissions as a regular subject they passed in class 12th without math as the main subject.
    Best of luck.

Unlike the B.Tech / B.E. Course in Computer Science and Engineering or Information technology students aspiring for a BCA course do not need to have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their Class 12th examinations. Students from the field of arts and commerce are equally eligible for joining the course as the ones from the Science background. However, Any student completed higher secondary (10+2) with Math as a compulsory subject and computer as an elective/compulsory in 10+2 will be given an advantage.

Maths is not compulsory for BCA courses because students of commerce and even arts are allowed to do BCA. But yes it will be beneficial for you if you have maths at the 10+2 level. One thing you must remember is that is you should have maths at the 10+2 level if you want to do MCA.
    All the best.

Yes, you are eligible for NIMCET exam. In this exam, class 12th marks is not important, but graduation marks will matter surely. You must have 60% in graduation with one subject Maths/Stats. There are many exam too for MCA such as: BHU MCA CET, BITS Mesra MCA CET, JNU MCA CET, DU MCA CET, MAH MCA CET. For this exam, you need to have Maths as a subject in class 12th and in Graduation with 50%-55% with one subject maths/stats. , z.
