Yes, Mathematics is a compulsory subject in many Industrial Design courses. However, some Industrial Design courses do not have mathematics as a subject but include basic concepts of mathematics in a few subjects. If you pursue Industrial Design as a specialisation in BTech or BArch then you will have to study mathematics. In Design courses you will have to study basic concepts like geometry, ratio and proportion and basic arithmatic. You will not be required to perform complex calculations or apply advanced Mathetematics. Hope this helps!
