NATA is one of the two Aptitude tests together with JEE paper 2 for admission into B.Arch course. It is compulsory to write and pass NATA to join B.Arch anywhere in the country. But, there are exceptions also. You can join the Schools of Planning and Architecture under MHRD by writing JEE (Mains) paper 2.

Hi Shruti, As per my knowledge, NATA is mandatory to get admission in B.Arch course. LPU School of Architecture and Design is among Punjab best colleges and ranked among top ten promising architecture institutes of India by Higher Education Review. In an era of smart cities, sustainable buildings and contemporary interiors, we train our students to become lateral thinkers by focusing on the critical design approach. With exposure to an international environment, access to the latest tools, software, and technology, our students become architects that create buildings and infrastructure that are globally acknowledged. Yes, it is compulsory for government colleges, but not in private colleges. In many private colleges, you can appear for their own entrance level test and avoid NATA.

NATA is one of those exams compulsory for getting admission in some of the best B.Arch colleges out there. If you are looking for top institutes to clear NATA and other Architecture exams, then I'll personally recommend you to enroll with BRDS. It has the highest selection of students in NATA JEE-B.Arch, CEPT as compared to other coaching institutes in India.

Dear Shruti, qualifying NATA National Aptitude Test in Architecture falls under the purview of eligibility, hence its a must. Dear NATA measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, I. e. Architecture, through assessment of cognitive skills, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, etc. , besides the learning that the candidate has acquired over the past few years and is related to the specific field of study.
