    PEC stands for Punjab Engineering College (deemed to be University) . The institute focuses on public research and technical institution. The institute comes under a tier 2 B.Tech Colleges. The admission is accepted through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. Placement records are decent at 80-85 percent. 

    So, no Punjab Engineering College (deemed to be University) is not overhyped but indeed a great institute.

    PES University is not considered overhyped. Nationally, PES University is ranked among the top 100-150 BTech colleges in India by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF 2023). It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and University Grants Commission, making it a reputable institution with international recognition. The university offers a variety of courses, conducts its entrance exams, and attracts students from around the world, indicating its strong academic standing and global appeal

    No, PES University is not considered overhyped. Nationally, PES University is ranked among the top 100-150 BTech colleges in India by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF 2023). The common entrance test accepted by this university is JEE Main and others. The university also conducts its own entrance exam known as PESSAT. So keep a track on PESSAT slot booking, PESSAT result, and others to not miss the chances of getting admission through PESSAT at PES University. Shortlisting is done on the basis of merit with reference to the PESSAT scores of the candidates. At PES University, the minimum eligibility varies with courses. However, the common eligibility for UG programmes is passing Class 12 with atleast 50 % of aggregate marks. For PG programmes at the university, the minimum eligibility is Bachelor's degree with atleast 50% of aggregate marks in the relevant stream.
