Both Harvard University and Stanford University are neck-and-neck regarding the selectiveness of their admission criteria. Harvard's acceptance rate is around 3.5%, while Stanford's acceptance rate is at 3.6%. This further strengthens the fact that both are among the toughest universities in the world to get admitted to. For the enrolled students in Harvard, the ACT composite score range stayed between 31 and 36, while for Stanford, this range was 33-35. Similarly, the average SAT scores for both universities stand around 1540.

But, both the universities are competitive on the similar lines. In order to get into Stanford, the applicants are required to have an exceptional academic record.
